Autograph letter, signed, from George Doherty to General Jethro Sumner, explaining his delay in joining Sumner and his troops and his intent to catch up as soon as possible: "I am determined to be as expeditious as I can & push to be at Hilsborough before you, if in my power, or follow you wherever you go..."
